On the occasion of the broadcast of the film Barbecue on Sunday June 27, 2021, from 9:05 pm on TF1, Télé Star reveals to you whether this comedy will be entitled to a sequel on the big screen or not.
Released in theaters in 2014, the film Barbecue, worn by Lambert Wilson, Franck Dubosc, Florence Foresti, Guillaume de Tonquédec and Jerome Commander, will be rebroadcast on Sunday June 27, 2021, from 9:05 p.m. on TF1. Realized by Eric Lavaine, this feature film features a group of friends who meet up every year for the holidays. However, not everything will go as planned. Produced with a budget of 9.70 million euros, this comedy collected more than 1.6 million admissions in France during its exploitation in cinemas.
The filming of Barbecue took place over a period of two months in the Cévennes region. We can notably see the Cirque de Navacelles in the film. Director Eric Lavaine wanted to tour in this region, mainly because he spent his childhood there. The filming location being isolated, the whole team met in the evening because they were accommodated in the same place. The actors were thus able to forge strong friendships, just like their characters on the screen. This is rather good, since they will again give themselves in the reply in the continuation of this feature film.
Barbecue: Florence Foresti absent from the suite
Eric Lavaine was at the time interested in the idea of following up on Barbecue. He had notably confided that he would be happy to find the actors and the universe of the film. If this materialized, the filmmaker had already found the name of this 2nd opus: Plancha. Finally, it was announced in April 2021 thatEric Lavaine was indeed going to stage this famous sequel. The plot will take place this time in Brittany, towards Concarneau and Névez, and no longer in the Cévennes. Filming for its part should begin during the month of June 2021. Regarding the casting, all the actors should resume their respective roles in this new component, with the notable exception of Florence foresti, which is not mentioned in this sequel project.
